Dress Up Gone Wrong

First picture - yay, Mini chose her own outfit.  One button blazer paired with sweatpants, pink socks and fish sunglasses to accessorize.  Not horrendous, she can leave the house and not be ridiculed.  The face is what she gave me when I told her to pose fiercely.  She probably won't be America's Next Top Model anytime soon.

Second picture - this is what happens when Mini and Daddy play in the closet.  Clothes get turned inside out.

Pretend Play

Mini is into pretend play these days.  I was in the kitchen prepping lunch and I walk out to find this little display.  Here she is party host to her stuffed animals.  Mini set out cups, plates, spoons, and napkins for her guests.  Then each puppy was served a bunny cracker.

She also plays teacher by lining up her toy dinosaurs and singing "huo che kwai fei" (a song they use at preschool).  She can also be "xiao mommy" where she changes diapers and feeds her stuffed animals.  The funniest is her as disciplinarian when she puts her misbehaving toys into time-out and leaves them there for days until she deems them good enough to come out.

Big Sister-to-be

Mini found out today that she is going to be a big sister to a baby brother.  She wasn't too excited or accepting of the news.  In fact, she said instantly that she didn't want a little brother.  Not sure where this response is coming from but we have a couple months to change her mind.

Vroom Vroom Zzzzzzzzz

Mini saw this race car bed somewhere else and loved it.  She even promised to sleep in it by herself so the search was on to find one for her because it's time for the co-sleeping to stop.

We found one today and here she is helping Daddy put the bed together.

And the happy driver is fast asleep.  It does help that she went from 8am to 1030pm without a nap.  Let's see how the night goes.  I am expecting at least four wake-ups.

Perfect Playdate

Buddies bonding over Indian buffet, toy store, and ice cream.  Thanks for the fabulous playdate, Miss O.

ABC Song

Mini can sing the ABC song!  On the car ride home and with some prompting, she sang the whole song.  It's very fobby sounding but it's in her head now.  Yay!  Numbers, colors, ABCs, all check.
