Updates

Mini measured 40" today and Grande measured at 34", both taller than last month. Grande is close to talking, frequently using vernacular such as "woooaaah" and "uh-ohhhh". He also likes to hide and jump out and say boo! Before, he would scream and kick whenever you tried to wipe his nose. Now, he will point to his nose for you to wipe it for him. Mini has learned to count from 1 to 100 in Chinese and English with no mistakes. We started practicing English a couple months ago but she would frequently skip numbers. After some time without practicing, she wanted to demonstrate her counting and she had greatly improved. It turns out she's been practicing on her own during naptime at school and in the car. Her reading is also much improved. She can read most of the toddler books by herself. Still has problems with short vs long vowels and hard and soft consonants. I think she's ready for kindergarten!

Snowman

Unexpected amounts of snow during this Tahoe trip.  Kids were able to build a snowman that stood as tall as they did.  Snowball fights and snow angels included.
