Not Much to Say

Grande is excited by MUNI buses so it figures that one of his first words is"bus".  Also new to his word list are:

Whoa
Uh oh
Up
Nom nom
Bzzz

We are slowly getting to hear him talk.

Gymboree Play and Art

Grande attended Gymboree from March through May and really loved it.  It was a slow start where he only wanted to play on the gym equipment and ignore the teacher.  After a month, he started to listen when the teacher started activities and finally participated.  His favorites were the air log and bubble time.

He also took a couple of art classes and the photo above displays his masterpieces (top row).  There's the sunflower trio, bright red sun, rainbow dotted sea turtle, and fish in seaweed.  

On the bottom row are big sister's versions of the art projects.  Mini insisted on doing the same thing as Grande so we had to re-create each one at home.  

Happy Birthday, Grande

Grande turns two today.  We had a playgroup party for him and it was clear that he didn't have a clue that the party was in his honor.  Guess he thinks it's just another day.

Mini, on the other hand, is capitalizing and turning this into her birthday.  She asks for Grande's gifts, cake, blowing out his candles, etc.  Such a good big sister, always looking out for her little brother, wink wink.  She's also confused as to why Grande isn't speaking yet.  Because we always said that he'd be talking by two, she thought he would magically start talking on his birthday.  She's disappointed.
