Good-bye LFP

Today was Mini's last day of preschool.  She spent the day saying goodbye to her beloved teachers and friends.  She gifted flowers and lunch to her teachers and neon markers to her classmates.

Btw, she is ecstatic that school is over and her summer vacation begins.

Hair Scare

Mini yells to me: "Mommy, I'm cutting Grande's hair!"

Not a phrase that you want to hear as a parent.  I go running to find the scene above.  She pretended that a car was the clippers and she was copying how daddy cuts hair.  To give her credit, the car did make a noise just like the hair clippers.

Bus and Bugs

Hi Grande, just wanted to create this post and let you know that your favorite things are buses and bugs.  You get so excited to see them and yell out "bus" or "buggy."

Cavities

Last time we were in Tahoe, as I brushed Mini's teeth, a filling on her front tooth fell out and she said her teeth hurt. For the next week, she wouldn't let us brush her teeth. Mama took her to the dentist but she wouldn't let the dentist into her mouth. Instead, she gave us a fluoride treatment to put on her cavity. The first few days were brutal. Mini was so afraid to open her mouth to get her teeth brushed. It took almost an hour of coddling to get her to open her mouth just to let us brush her front teeth and when I did, she would cry. It's been a month now and it's gotten a lot better. It turns out that the pain might have just been gingivitis and not the cavity, which is good news. Now, she doesn't really feel pain when brushing so it's gone a lot more smoothly. The best part of all this is Mini no longer wants to eat candy and sweets all day long. This experience has really put the fear of god in her about tooth care and avoiding cavities in the future. Luckily kids get a second chance with their teeth.

Class of 2015

Our first graduation, from Little Footprints Preschool, wow!  It seems like only yesterday that Mini started there and now it seems a blink away from her high school graduation.  Time is moving too quickly.
